This wonderful dessert is quick and simple to make, perfect for entertaining guests or treating yourself to something sweet throughout the week. It has a long shelf life, so you can enjoy it without worrying about it spoiling. It’s also great for packaging as edible gifts during the holiday season. This dessert is incredibly versatile and loved by both adults and children alike.

Ingredients

  • 150 g of chopped almonds (I usually buy them pre-chopped, but if you can't find them, you can simply chop whole almonds with a knife.)

  • 200 g of dark chocolate (I prefer at least 70% cocoa)

  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

I toast the chopped almonds in a non-stick pan until they are golden brown. I cook them over low heat and stay right next to the pan to ensure they don’t burn, as nuts can easily scorch.

I melt the chocolate using a double boiler method - first, I fill one pot with water, and when it reaches a boil, I place a smaller pot inside it and add the dark chocolate to melt. If I place the chocolate pot directly over the heat, it will burn, harden and melt unevenly.

I mix the toasted almonds with the melted chocolate, adding a pinch of salt, and stir everything well again.

I shape the mixture into candies and place them on a plate lined with parchment paper. Then, I put them in the refrigerator (or a cool balcony) for at least a few hours until the chocolate hardens.

BON APPETIT!
